Easter....

We had an egg-ceptional Easter. It began by coloring eggs with the community on Friday before Easter and continued with an egg-hunt, races, and scavenger hunt on Saturday. The kids and I won a stained glass cross in the scavenger hunt, and they won prizes in the races...Gracyn won a big stuffed bunny and a cool mad-libs card game. Braeden won a hand-held electronic Yahtzee game. Kaegan loved his lollipop. On Easter Sunday, we got up to baskets of goodies and a community-wide Easter service held in the community gym. Then, we met up with the McClungs for a trek upward for a picnic and to hunt "resurrection" eggs and have our own very meaningful service and to share communion. Then, we hiked up further and hunted candy-filled eggs. We had a beautiful day. When we came back down, we enjoyed hunting for rocks and oohing and ahhing over sparkles and fool's gold.

Looks like a blast! Visiting is definitely on my "to-do" list for this summer. Are you coming to visit here over the summer at all??

Yes, but I'm not sure just when. Probably early in June. Little J and her family are coming the first week of July to visit us. I'm very excited about that.

In my email, I was thinking of a couple hours in the playroom per day with room and board and fun in exchange....

Josha,
There should be lots of wildflowers when you are here, so get your mom and dad to let you have one of those disposable cameras so you kids can take each others' pictures in the flowers. Then, we can make some cool picture frames from a book I found in the library. We will have a special celebration in Lake City for the Fourth, and we are already planning birthday stuff. We will have worship time together with our friends on Sunday, and have a picnic way up high somewhere. We can take the jeep up and then hike where the jeep can't go. We are likely to see some bears (we will wear bells so that we don't surprise any) and we will definitely see deer and elk. Bring a sketch pad. We will go "gold digging" and look for rocks with minerals in them. I hope you can bring your bikes. Depending upon which exact days you are here, there may be a community talent show. It is every second Saturday. We can wade in the river and fish if we want to. It will be a great time!
Love,
josha
