Spring Break is upon us...
As it turns out, we will ALL be coming to Houston!!! Odell has to work in Houston over spring break, the following weekend, and the following week. So, he surprised us by buying plane tickets for the whole family! We will drive to Midland and fly from there to Houston on Monday night. Gracyn still wants to "make the rounds." As it stands right now, she will be at homeschool group on Tuesday morning and then spend Tuesday with the Dodsons and that night with them and Amber for the obligatory pillow fight extravaganza. I'm not certain, but I think that Wednesday is with the Smiths and then to church. Then, overnight with the Nichols family Wed. night to spend Kate's birthday with her on Thursday. To Hannah's on Thursday evening to spend the night and play hookie from school on Friday with her before we fly back to Midland Friday evening. Sound crazy enough to be one of our schemes? The rest of the family has no specific plans except seeing everyone we can. It turns out that Misty and David and Lauren will be at our house for just a short time Monday and Tuesday. We want to see the Smith's new house. We HAVE to see Kiah Belle boogie up the stairs. I need to take Braeden to the museum of natural science to see the dino exhibit. I won't have a car.....anyone wanna go? I've tried to call some of you to no avail, but I will try again tomorrow. Maybe we'll all cook out one night! Can't wait!!!

Gracyn was blushing when the crowd spontaneously began to applaud during her Irish Step dance in the community talent show Sat. night. She did a beautiful job!

A closer view of this little dancer with cousins, Logan (eating popcorn) and Joshua (taking Gracyn's picture). We had a fun time with them which I will write about in my next post.

This was supposed to be a picture of Braeden in his new sweater that I knitted for him, but Kaegan decided to pose for the shot as well. "Cheeeeese!"

Finally! It lets me post pictures! Braeden and Kaegan are becoming closer pals since spending the mornings together. Here they are sharing a book and a chair! I just liked this pic of Gracyn. I took it at school the first day Kaqegan went for a RailRoad project. You can see him in class, showing Danny a picture he found of a train.

Odell comes back from Vegas tonight, and we are very excited about that! He will be in Lake City for this next week, then back in Houston the following week. I'm about to begin sewing Gracyn an Irish dance dress for the March community talent show. It will be hot pink and white satin with a trim of an Irish print...white background with little green clovers. I have to get it done fairly quickly, so it won't be perfect, but it should be pretty. I will post a picture of her in it when I'm done. I knitted her a poncho that turned out cute. She wore it to school yesterday and everyone liked it. Pink, of course.

These 3 beautiful deer are the biggest pests! I have to shoo them off the back porch every night. The other night, they made so much noise, they woke me up and almost gave me a heart attack! I had to move the bunny food into the house to get them to go away. Ricky is very excited about them and thinks he scared them off. I had to wash him again today, by the way. It snowed some last night, but it was still so warm today that it is still muDDy.

Braeden has been sick this week. He feels better today, but is still coughing and has a little bit of a "grumpy nose" so he may still not go to school tomorrow. I'm going to Gunnison tomorrow, and if he is still sickly, I'll take him with Kaegan and me. I'm going to get some galoshes! I don't know if I spelled that right or not, but you get the picture!

Clinton and Donna and family are coming to visit us in a couple of weeks and I hope we will still have some snow! We may go mudding instead of sledding!

Here are some bad things about Lake City...
  1. we miss our friends
  2. change is difficult
  3. MUD--the days have been so warm that the snow is melting, and it is muDDy!!
  4. Ricky in the mud.
